HAPPY NEW YEAR!
After a Christmas and New Years’ holiday break, we’re back with a big update.
January takes its name from Janus, the Roman god with two faces, marking the symbolic doorway where the past meets the future, so we thought that it would be the perfect time to look at what we accomplished in 2025, and look forward to 2026.
2025 Goals Achieved!
​We released the Croc Legend of the Gobbos remaster on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC for both Steam and GOG. In addition, we released Croc Classic as a gift-with-purchase for PC on GOG.
By popular request, we released Croc Platinum Edition, which added a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation, additional Trophies/Achievements on all platforms, and even brought Achievements to the Switch! We also added an all-new Time Attack mode, extra Crocipedia content, and more!
And just before Christmas, the upgraded Croc 25th Anniversary Edition shipped for the Chromatic (and all Game Boy Color devices.) It even came with a Croc charm, which was… charming!
The Elephant in the Room
There’s no escaping the fact that the Croc physical editions, published by Rock It Games, missed their intended ship date. This is due to a number of interconnected reasons, including various delays for the physical items, but also the decision to hold the disc and cart manufacture for the updated Platinum Edition, causing unexpected resubmission and approvals delays at Sony and Nintendo, for which we take responsibility and for which we apologize.
Argonaut has become increasingly involved with the physical items, such as taking on the design of the Certificate of Authenticity and writing the Instruction Manuals, in order to try and move things forward to completion.
Rock It has assured us that they will be stepping up their customer communications from now on, and we will be monitoring these as well.
We’re confident that the regular and Collector’s Editions of Croc are coming soon. We’re as eager to receive them as all of our customers are!
Happy Anniversaries
In 2026 we have some major anniversaries that we will be celebrating, including Croc 2 on the Game Boy Color (25th),
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone (25th),
FX Fighter Turbo (30th), and the game that put Argonaut on the map, Starglider (40th).
